Property inspections are a vital aspect of commercial property management & critical to minimising risk to both landlord & agency. This seminar covers the different types of inspections & the why, how & when they should be completed, and how to produce clear, concise condition reports & establish systems to ensure inspections are scheduled & reporting requirements met.
Through this seminar participants will understand:
What the different types of inspections included in a Property Management Authority are. What knowledge, expertise or experience a CPM needs to conduct inspections.
Why it is critical that all inspections – and particularly, initial inspections – should be conducted in-person to enable a full understanding of a property & its features.
How to arrange & conduct an inspection, including what notice for entry is required & what a CPM should note, report & action.
When to recommend a specialised building consultant or surveyor to complete compliance inspections & audits.
Participants will have the opportunity to review the preparation of condition reports & the information they should include, and understand the important role reports play in landlord maintenance & repair responsibilities, tenant vacating & make-good responsibilities, and potential dispute resolution.
This seminar also explores how to integrate scheduling, reporting & actioning into property management systems, ensuring compliance & risk mitigation, and minimisation are at the forefront of agency practice.
